Sukanta Das
Sukanta Das is a figurative artist from Kolkata who graduated with a Bachelor’s in Visual Arts in 1996. A surreal quality and a unique palette characterize his work. His acrylics on canvas capture moments in time with a photo-realist quality, often featuring highly stylized women in idyllic garden settings. He won a National Scholarship in 1996 and has exhibited his work in several groups, solo exhibitions across India. He currently lives and works in Kolkata.
